Our Story...
Scalzo Hospitality began with Carmen Scalzo, a first-generation Italian American with a dream and the determination to make it real. In the 1950s, he built his first hotels in Sacramento by hand and greeted his first guests with a handshake. After three successful projects, Carmen followed his instincts to Anaheim, just after Walt Disney opened the gates to Disneyland, where he developed three hotels along Harbor Boulevard, the last of which, the Park Vue Inn, is still in the family today.
Three generations later, his legacy lives on—and it’s the foundation for the Remarkable Hospitality we strive for every day. The same hands-on approach still shapes how we operate. And the same pride carries us forward as stewards of a story that began seventy years ago and is far from finished.
