FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
After seventy years as an owner-operator, the Minneapolis-based company is now putting its proven system to work for other owners.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, October 7, 2026 – Scalzo Hospitality, a third-generation, family-owned hotel management company based in Minneapolis, today announced the formal launch of its third-party hotel management services, offering independent hotel owners access to the same operating system the company has used across its own portfolio for years.
The move follows years of internal work and reflects a deliberate strategic decision. After the COVID-19 pandemic, Scalzo—like much of the hospitality industry—faced a period of disruption few could have anticipated. The company shifted its focus toward stability and emerged with stronger leadership, more disciplined processes, and a clear direction. With this solid foundation in place, Scalzo determined that the most effective way to grow the business was to branch out into third-party hotel management.
Every property Scalzo manages follows the same operating framework—a system based on EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System®). This includes a defined process for setting quarterly priorities, weekly performance reviews built around a shared scorecard, an effective procedure for identifying and solving problems, and clear ownership for every function within a property’s operation.
“We’ve proven it works at four properties that couldn’t be more different,” said Ryan Haas, President and Chief Operating Officer of Scalzo Hospitality. “As third-party managers, we’re not asking owners to trust a new idea. We’re offering them the people and process that have ensured we not only survived but thrived despite adverse industry and market conditions in recent years.”
“For years, our focus was on delivering Remarkable Hospitality at our own properties and putting the right people in the right seats to do so,” said Paul Durand, Chairman and Visionary of Scalzo Hospitality and a third-generation Scalzo. “As we looked at how to grow the company for future generations, third-party management was the clearest way to put that team and that system to work. We believe our roots, values, and unique way of doing things will resonate with owners across our markets.”
Because no two ownership situations are the same, Scalzo works with owners at whatever level fits: full operational leadership for those ready to hand over day-to-day management entirely, or targeted support for those facing a specific challenge or weighing a new opportunity.
Scalzo Hospitality currently owns and operates four properties: the Park Vue Inn in Anaheim, California; the Delta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast; Cold Stone Creamery Anaheim; and the Twin Cities 400 Tavern in Minneapolis.
